10 truths and myths on the road of self-discovery

by | Jun 11, 2020 | Life journey, Self-discovery

  1. The journey you are about to take has no end and it’s a purpose is in the journey itself.
  2. There is only one direction of your journey – inwards. You don’t have to go to India or Peru to experience the “aha” moment, it can happen on the couch.
  3. Do not focus on the boulders that you have to push, but on the muscles that have grown during this time – that’s what this is about.
  4. Discovering yourself does not mean that you are changing, you are just beginning to understand what is yours and what is not.
  5. Because your perspective is constantly expanding, so is your truth, allow yourself flexibility, and do not stick to the belief “I know for sure now”.
  6. A good teacher is one who is also a student at the same time, we all support each other on this trip.
  7. Your charms and beads say as much about you as my Chanel handbag says about me: nothing. The transformation is happening inside, we don’t have to wear anything to show or prove.
  8. It doesn’t exist “too late” and “too early”, you are ready when you are ready and for what is here and now right for you.
  9. A conscious person has and feels a full range of emotions. It is not about escaping, suppressing, or denying them, but about recognizing, observing, and working with it.
  10. If there is any indicator of enlightenment, it is a heart full of mercy and no judgment. If you think you are already like this, I recommend to visit your family for the weekend and then return to point number one.
